The things people most often ask before booking. If your question is not here, call 07504 195081 or send an email and you will get a straight answer.
No. You can book directly for both physiotherapy and massage without seeing your GP first. If you plan to claim the cost back through private health insurance, check your policy, as some insurers ask for a referral before they will reimburse you.
Your initial consultation lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. It covers a full history, a movement assessment and a working diagnosis, and treatment begins in the same session. You will leave with a clear explanation of the problem and a plan, including things you can do yourself between appointments.
Loose, comfortable clothing you can move in. For lower limb problems, shorts are ideal. For back, neck or shoulder work, a vest top makes assessment easier. If in doubt, bring something to change into.
It depends on the problem and on you. Some issues settle in two or three sessions, while post-surgical rehabilitation or long-standing problems take longer. You will get an honest estimate at your first appointment, and the plan is reviewed as you progress rather than locking you into a fixed block.
Physiotherapy is a clinical service: assessment, diagnosis, hands-on treatment and rehabilitation for injury, pain and mobility problems. Massage focuses on soft tissue, easing tension, aiding recovery and promoting relaxation. They complement each other well, and many clients use both.
