Physiotherapy

A physiotherapist is a professional individual that uses their anatomical knowledge/skills to diagnose and treat a wide range of muscular related problems using advice, manual therapies and exercise prescription.

Physiotherapy seeks to identify and solve patient centred problems thereby maximizing quality of life and movement potential.  This is achieved using prevention, treatment/intervention, and rehabilitation methods, utilising an initial assessment which leads to an agreed plan/goal between the physiotherapist and patient.

Physiotherapy requires effective interaction between physiotherapist and their patients/clients and often their families or care givers.

At Natural Poise we pride ourselves on listening to our patients and understanding what they would like to achieve to maximise and maintain a healthy, independent lifestyle.

At Natural Poise we offer the following physiotherapy options.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Aimed at the assessment and treatment of joints or muscles that may be restricted or painful.  Widely used to help improve muscle strength, joint mobility and overall quality of movement.

Falls Rehabilitation

This rehabilitation is specifically designed for those who are struggling with reduction in balance which is leading to reduced mobility and confidence relating to movement.  Physiotherapy can help to improve strength, restore balance and increase quality of movement. Rehabilitation can also reduce falling incidents and improve confidence in maintaining an active lifestyle.

Respiratory Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy for patients struggling with respiratory disease or with dysfunctional breathing.

We can offer an individualised assessment looking at the key areas of difficulty including breathlessness management, sputum

clearance, inhaler technique and exercise to improve quality of life.
